Where to Stay

The venue, OEX2, is located in the community of Wîhkwêntôwin/Oliver, west of downtown.

Main hotel chains are located Downtown, on the West side (by West Edmonton Mall) or South Central (North of Whitemud Drive). Smaller hotels can be found throughout the city.

On the North side of the North Saskatchewan River, the main entertainment district is between 124 St and 101 St (bounded by Jasper Ave/101 Ave and 104 Ave). The further east and north you go, the more colourful the characters get.

On the South side of the river, you'll find Whyte Ave/82 Ave, which connects to the University of Alberta and is home to the Strathcona Farmers' Market, open Saturdays 8am-3pm. Restaurants are concentrated between 101 St and 109 St. Beer Street, a concentration of local breweries, is also nearby, down 99 St, south of Whyte. We spend a lot of time here since it's basically out our back door :).
